A few words from the owner

Hello, Let me introduce myself. My name is Svetlana and I’m a Virgo. That’s why I’m just naturally punctilious, highly organized and productive. I feel that my mission in life is “to turn every physical and spiritual desert into an oasis”. I know that sounds a little bit overblown, in fact more than a little bit, but I just feel like that. I can’t think in small terms, only big thoughts and big hopes for big achievements. As Benjamin Disraeli said “Life is too short to be little.”

First, let’s talk about a home, your home and your relationship with it. Your home is not just a place where you sleep and eat, the place that protects you from the rain and cold, it’s a powerful force in your life and it’s very important that you share a good relationship. It has been known from ancient times that, however you treat your home, your home will respond to you in the same way. If you love your home, it will love you back, guard and protect you, its owner, it will support you and enhance your relationships.

The energy within a home All things in a home, even its very walls are soaked in the energy of its owner. Rearranging things and making the right design choice you can heal your own bad mood or improve your career. That's why it's not a good choice to buy second hand things. The energy of its previous owner will influence you. Treat your home like a living creature, be loving and kind toward it, take care of it and keep it clean.

Clutter
You'll be surprised at how a simple thing like cleaning out clutter can dramatically transform your life. Clutter makes dead energy. The clutter in a home represents unresolved problems in your life. And when you take the time to think about wether or not you should clean out your closet, you waste more energy than if you just went ahead and did it.

Clutter is stuck energy with far-reaching physical, mental, emotional and spiritual effects. Karen Kingston, author of Clear Your Clutter with Feng Shui, writes in her book: "Whenever I meet people who tell me they are stuck, I know that if I visit their homes, I will almost always find lots of clutter.

Clutter accumulates when energy stagnates. By "clutter" she means all those objects which are unused, unloved or unpleasant. That causes the energy in a home to pool and stagnate. Being in many homes because of my job, I'm always surprised that even in big houses with plenty of space people sometimes can't find the right place for things and keep lots of needless stuff, clutter.

Those old clothes

We all have clutter in our lives. Take time today to get rid of the junk. Free up closet and drawer space by getting a box of clothes ready to donate to charity. Some people keep things they haven't worn in over twenty years. They say that if they hang on to them long enough they will come back into fashion. If you haven't worn something in the last year, and especially if you haven't worn it in the last two or three years, then let it go. Fashion returns but new nuances appear. And in any case you will be wearing not `70s-style clothes, but old clothes from the`70s. Get rid of clothes that have unpleasant memories associated with them.

Put into a box and hide in the attic pictures of your former lovers, even if they hold good memories for you. This is your past, let it go, don't let your past destroy your present. Let interesting things and new relationships come into your life. Get rid of those items you'll use "some day." You will feel so much better and lighter! All of us have very busy professional lives, lots of responsibilities and obligations. So sometimes we do not have enough time for life’s simple pleasures, for enjoying a sunset or a blooming flower. Not to mention cleaning. Clean up your space energetically, it takes a little work, but it's worth it. Call us to make your home clean physically as well. Do not forget to clean your windows regularly because according to Feng Shui, if you have dirty windows, you’re not seeing the world clearly.

A clean and well-organized office environment is important too. Clean up your office files, clean your e-mail box, keep your desk tidy and organized. As the poet Alexander Pope said, "Order is heaven's first law." Make sure every thing in your home and office is clean and has its own place. A clean, clutter-free environment will invite good luck in your life and your business. Cleanliness in an office not only enhances the image of the company, it leads to future promotions and success in your career.

Non-toxic homes
One more thing to think about – non-toxic homes. These days houses and buildings are rarely constructed of neutral, organic materials such as stone, clay, wood and cork. 65 to 85 percent of the materials content of modern buildings, consists of synthetic materials such as concrete, steel, glass, and plastic. Some of them are considered carcinogenic materials and can cause many health problems.

It is beyond the scope of this small article to explain in depth the dangers assocciated with formaldehyde, carbon monoxide, lead, fungi and the electromagnetic fields, which surround us in our homes. But here are several tips on how to decrease the harmful potential of these hazards.

First of all, many modern homes lack an adequate exchange of air. Be sure that your home is being supplied with fresh air. Indoor air should be exchanged with outdoor air frequently. Todays energy-efficient homes not only keep heat from escaping, but trap toxins and chemicals inside as well. Open the windows, especially in bedrooms.

Do not allow mould to live in your home.

Synthetic carpet emits about 100 different gases. Older natural fiber carpeting and area rugs made from natural materials (wool, linen, cotton) are usually safer. A natural wood floor is safe only if you use a simple wax finish with frequent rewaxing to maintain the appearance and protection of the floor. If you use a hard polyurethane finish for a hardwood floor it will have the effect of a plastic floor and will release gases. The healthiest flooring is linoleum, “which is manufactured from linseed oil, cork, and limestone powder with plant –or earth-based color.”

Cleaning chemicals
Cleaning your home to high standards need not rely on an arsenal of chemicals. And keep in mind that, the only way we are able to smell something is if the chemical molecules enter our body. In addition to causing cancer, many synthetic chemicals affect our central nervous systems, and that can leave us irritable, or with a headache. One of the best ways to improve the quality of your indoor air is by cleaning without toxic chemicals. Consider the use of organic cleaning supplies to clean your home.

Feng Shui
And lastly, I would like to leave you with some thoughts about Feng Shui. According to Lillian Too, one of the most famous and experienced feng shui masters, there are three types of luck: heaven, earth, and personal luck. We can not control heaven luck, it is something like karma in Indian philosophy. Our earth luck depends on how much in harmony we live with the environment that surrounds us. We can control this type of luck and this is really what Feng Shui is all about. Feng Shui is the art of arranging your environment to enhance your life, bring new exciting opportunities to it and prosperity in it. Personal luck is luck we create ourselves and so we can control it too. Good Feng Shui helps us to attract new opportunities in our life, but it still depends on us whether we use them or not.
